Tour Itinerary

1. 1. Area Sacra di Largo Argentina. Our tour begins at the Area Sacra di Largo Argentina, an archaeological site hosting the ruins of four ancient Roman temples. This place is also famous for being the site where Julius Caesar was assassinated.
   2. Ghetto. We will proceed to the Jewish Ghetto, one of Rome’s oldest and most fascinating neighborhoods. Here, we will explore the narrow streets and learn about the history of Rome’s Jewish community, visiting the beautiful Synagogue and the Jewish Museum.
   3. Theater of Marcellus. Our path will take us to the Theatre of Marcellus, built by Augustus. This ancient Roman theatre is often compared to the Colosseum for its structure and represents an extraordinary example of Roman architecture.
   4. Capitol Hill. We will then climb Capitoline Hill, one of Rome’s seven hills, where we will admire the square designed by Michelangelo and the Capitoline Museums, which house a rich collection of art and archaeological finds.
   5. Roman Forum. We will continue with a visit to the Roman Forum, the heart of ancient Rome. We will walk among the ruins of temples, basilicas, and triumphal arches, immersing ourselves in the history of the Roman Empire.
   6. Arch of Septimus Severus. In the Roman Forum, we will admire the Arch of Septimius Severus, a magnificent triumphal arch erected to commemorate the victories of Emperor Septimius Severus and his sons.
   7. Arch of Titus. We will pass under the Arch of Titus, another commemorative monument in the Roman Forum, erected to celebrate Titus’s victory in the Jewish War.
   8. Palatine Hill. We will climb the Palatine Hill, one of the city’s oldest, where the residences of the Roman emperors were located. From here, we can enjoy a panoramic view of the Forum and the Circus Maximus.
   9. Colosseum. Our next stop will be the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater in the Roman world. We will learn about the history of the bloody gladiatorial battles and grand performances held within its walls.
   10. Arch of Costantine. Near the Colosseum, we will admire the Arch of Constantine, an imposing triumphal arch that celebrates Emperor Constantine’s victory at the Battle of Milvian Bridge.
   11. Trajan’s Column. We will head towards Trajan’s Column, one of Rome’s most celebrated monuments, erected to commemorate Emperor Trajan’s victories in the Dacian Wars. The detailed reliefs on the column tell the stories of his military campaigns.
   12. Piazza Venezia. We will reach Piazza Venezia, one of Rome’s main squares, dominated by the monumental Altar of the Fatherland, also known as the Vittoriano. This monument is dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy.
   13. Vittoriano. We will climb the Vittoriano for a spectacular view of Rome and visit the Museum of the Italian Risorgimento, which tells the story of Italy’s unification.
   14. Trevi Fountain. We will proceed to the Trevi Fountain, the largest and one of the most famous fountains in Rome. We will not forget to throw a coin into the fountain, ensuring our future return to Rome.
   15. Piazza di Spagna. We will walk to Piazza di Spagna, with its iconic Spanish Steps and the Barcaccia fountain. This is one of Rome’s most photographed and beloved locations.
   16. Spanish Steps. We will climb the Spanish Steps to reach the Trinità dei Monti church and enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
   17. View of Rome from the Pincio. We will continue to the Pincio, a hill offering one of the best panoramic views of Rome. This is an ideal place to take photos and appreciate the city’s beauty.
   18. Piazza del Popolo. We will descend to Piazza del Popolo, one of Rome’s largest squares, with its imposing gate, twin churches, and central obelisk.
   19. Ara Pacis Augustae. We will visit the Ara Pacis, an altar dedicated to Peace commissioned by Emperor Augustus. This monument represents one of the best examples of Roman art and celebrates the peace achieved during his reign.
   20. Ponte Sant’Angelo. We will cross the scenic Ponte Sant’Angelo, adorned with statues of angels, connecting the castle to the opposite bank of the Tiber. This bridge is one of the most beautiful and iconic in Rome.
   21. Castel Sant’Angelo. We will visit Castel Sant’Angelo, originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian and later used as a fortress and papal residence. Its fascinating history and panoramic terrace view are unmissable
   22. Via della Conciliazione. We will walk along Via della Conciliazione, the wide street connecting Castel Sant’Angelo to St. Peter’s Square. This historic street offers a spectacular view of the basilica as we approach.
   23. St. Peter’s Square We will reach St. Peter’s Square, the heart of the Vatican. We will admire the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the holiest places in Christianity, with its imposing dome designed by Michelangelo.
   24. Janiculum Hill. We will proceed to Janiculum Hill, offering one of the best panoramic views of Rome. Here we can relax and enjoy the panorama stretching over the Eternal City.
   25. Trastevere. We will explore Trastevere, known for its narrow cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and bohemian atmosphere. This neighborhood is famous for its typical restaurants and trattorias.
   26. Tiber Island. We will cross Tiber Island, a small island in the middle of the Tiber, with a fascinating history and home to the ancient Fatebenefratelli Hospital.
   27. Campo de’ Fiori. We will proceed to Campo de’ Fiori, a historic square hosting a lively market during the day and transforming into a nightlife hub in the evening. Here we can feel the authentic atmosphere of Roman life.
   28. Piazza Navona. We will arrive at Piazza Navona, famous for its Baroque fountains, including Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. This square is a lively center of activity with street artists and outdoor cafes.
   29. Pantheon. We will then visit the Pantheon, one of the best-preserved ancient buildings in the world. This extraordinary structure, with its dome and central oculus, is a masterpiece of Roman engineering.
   30. Return to Area Sacra di Largo Argentina . Our tour will conclude where it began, at the Area Sacra di Largo Argentina. Here we can reflect on our adventure through the history, art, and beauty of Rome, taking away unforgettable memories.
