Tour Itinerary
- Belvedere del Gianicolo:Our tour begins at the Belvedere del Gianicolo, one of Rome’s most spectacular viewpoints. From here, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Eternal City, with its red roofs and domes against the sky.
- Gianicolo Walk: We will continue with a pleasant walk along the Gianicolo, a place rich in history and charm. This hill offers a peaceful break from the city’s hustle and bustle, allowing us to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding Rome.
- St. Peter’s Square: We will cross the city to reach St. Peter’s Square, the heart of the Vatican. We will admire the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica, one of the most sacred places in Christianity, with its imposing dome designed by Michelangelo.
- Via della Conciliazione: We will walk along Via della Conciliazione, the wide street that connects Castel Sant’Angelo to St. Peter’s Square. This historic road offers a spectacular view of the basilica as we approach it.
- Castel Sant’Angelo: We will visit Castel Sant’Angelo, originally built as a mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian and later used as a fortress and papal residence. Its fascinating history and panoramic view from its terrace are not to be missed.
- Ponte Sant’Angelo: We will reach Piazza Navona, famous for its oval shape and its three magnificent fountains, including Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. This square is a lively hub of activity with street artists and outdoor cafes.
- Piazza Navona: We will proceed to Campo de’ Fiori, a historic square that hosts a lively market during the day and transforms into a nightlife center in the evening. Here we can experience the authentic atmosphere of Roman life.

- Palazzo Farnese: We will stop in front of Palazzo Farnese, one of the grandest Renaissance residences in Rome, now the French embassy. We will admire its imposing and historically rich architecture.
- Ponte Sisto: We will cross Ponte Sisto, a pedestrian bridge that offers splendid views of the Tiber and leads us directly into the heart of Trastevere, one of Rome’s most characteristic neighborhoods.
- Trastevere: We will explore Trastevere, known for its narrow cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and bohemian atmosphere. This neighborhood is famous for its typical restaurants and trattorias.
- Piazza Trilussa: We will stop at Piazza Trilussa, a lively meeting point for young Romans. Here we will find the famous fountain dedicated to the Roman poet Trilussa, a perfect spot for a short break.
- Fontana dell’Acqua Paola: We will conclude our tour with a visit to the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, also known as the “Big Fountain.” Located on the Gianicolo, this monumental fountain offers another splendid panoramic view of the city.
- Return to Gianicolo: Finally, we will return to our starting point on the Gianicolo, where the tour will end. Here we will have the opportunity to reflect on our adventure and enjoy the spectacular views once more.
